Usually, Tim is the one behind the camera. Photographing architecture, landscapes and the curious relationship between the things we build and the spaces we leave untouched. He's someone who knows how to look, how to wait for the light, and how to find something extraordinary in what others might walk past.

This time, we switched places.

Tim needed portraits, and I had the pleasure of turning my camera towards someone who spends most of his life looking through one. One of those photographs eventually found its way into a feature in the weekend magazine of Corriere della Sera.

A photographer photographing a photographer. Two people who make a living looking at the world, figuring out what happens when one of them becomes the subject.
